Someone’s Watching You

When my youngest was four years old he crawled up in my lap to sit facing me.  After a moment he, very intentionally started rubbing his fingers down the sides of my noses and then down the sides of his own nose.  After repeating himself a few more times I finally asked his what he was doing.  His response startled me.

“You have grease on your nose, Daddy and I want to have grease on my nhose just like you.”

He wasn’t kidding.  He had noticed the grease on the sides of my nose.  What else was he noticing?  What else did I have or do that he would imitate?

We have no idea how closely they watch us but we need to get an idea.  It’s an important realization for every parent to remember, somebody very important is watching.
